Chicago at Miami
God, I love Thursday Night Football.
It's an amazing time of the year, with professional football being on 3 nights a week! This Thursday we have an interesting matchup, with the Chicago Bears taking on the Miami Dolphins.
Chicago is deceptive. They run the ball real well. They play solid all around defense. They have most of the pieces in place for a solid team. Then, there's Jay Cutler. Cutler is the Good-Will Hunting of the NFL. Everyone roots for him, and he has so much potential. But he's too stubborn to ever harness it. The most frustrating part is he shows flashes of incredible. He just can't put it together. He is also terrible at night.
Miami is the essential 5-4 team. They beat the bad teams, but struggle to beat the good teams. They're a solid all around team as well. However, they're down to their 3rd string quarterback, Tyler Thigpen. Thigpen is 1-10 lifetime as a starter. He does throw the ball well, and was solid with the Chiefs in 2008. He had 18 TDS to 12 INTS.
The big difference in this game is Cutler. When people go against him, he can make them look foolish. However, he has never proven that he can play under the big stage. That's why I'm going with the Dolphins. 16-9.
So far on the season, we are 17-9-1 against the spread. We started week nine.
