San Diego (-3) over Houston
Yes, San Diego is 0-4 at home, and yes the chargers receivers are beat up worse than a 1st date between Lagarrette Blount and Snookie. But Houston's defense is dreadful. The Texans are giving up 299 passing yards per game. Houston's defense has given up less than 24 points in a game only once this season, and that was to Dallas. Meanwhile, San Diego is giving up an NFL low 176 Passing yards per game.Chargers win big, 38-17.
Minnesota (-9) over Arizona
This year, the Cardinals are averaging 9.4 ppg on the road, and 29.6 ppg at home. They are on the road against the Vikings. Although the Vikings are only 13th this year in run defense, I don't think Wells or Hightower will be anywhere near effective. Adrian Peterson will be effective, as Arizona has the 4th worst run defense in the NFL Vikings get a much needed win, 21-10.
New Orleans (-6.5) over Carolina
DeAngelo is more than likely a no-go. Carolina is bottom 5 in total offense. They almost beat New Orleans in the Superdome, but were outgained by 132 yards. There will be a much different outcome this time. Saints 27-6.
New England (-4.5) over Cleveland
This one is tough. Cleveland can run the ball, with 102 rush ypg. Mangini also knows Belichick, and Belichick has struggled with facing his mentors in the past. However, Colt McCoy is not beating the Patriots. Closer than most think, though. Patriots 24-17
Tampa Bay ( +9.5) over Atlanta
These teams are more evenly matched than most think, at least statistically. Atlanta's passing defense is shaky, and Josh Freeman is looking like John Elway. Lagarrette Blount is looking like Mike Tyson in 1986, (He's not doing that bad on the field, either). They won't win this game, because they're not the best team in the NFC, but it will be incredibly close. Atlanta 31-28
Buffalo (+3) over Chicago
The Bills biggest weakness is stopping the run. They're averaging 188 ypg on the ground! That's by far the league worst. Fortunately, Chicago has Mike Martz, and is averaging 88 ypg against the run. Cutler has never really healed from his concussion against the Giants. He's also the Anti-Clutch. and Buffalo is a sneakily good 0-7 team. I feel this game ends with a perfectly timed Cutler INT. Buffalo 21-17
Baltimore (-5) over Miami
The Dolphins pretend to be physical defensively, but Baltimore actually is. This year, Baltimore's weakness is their run defense. Miami can't run, with 3.9 YPC. Baltimore 24-14
Detroit (+4) over NY Jets
Detroit is 4-1 ATS. Staffords back, and he has weapons. Detroits defense has been opportunistic, and with a couple of caused turnovers, I see this upset. Detroit 27-14
NY Giants (-7) over Seattle
Seattle has been outgained, yardage wise, in every game except for 2 this year. However, Seattle is so good at home. However, Matt Hasselbeck is out, and that New York defensive line will get to Whitehurst. Giants win 31-10.
Philadelphia (-3) over Indianapolis
Vick is back, and Philly needs this game. Eagles 34-28
Oakland (-2.5) over Kansas City
Ok, they don't have Nnamdi, but they're so damn hot right now. This game is evenly matched, but both teams play better at home. Oakland is home. Raiders 35-24
Green Bay (-7.5) over Dallas
Let's be honest. This Dallas team is terrible. They're poorly coached, they can't sustain drives, and it seems like every good play is negated by a penalty. Green Bay is sloppy, too. But they're too talented, and much better coached. That defense is coming around, and this one could get ugly. Green Bay 24-10
Pittsburgh (-5) over Cincinnati
If Pittsburgh has one weakness this year, it's the passing defense. They are 25th in the NFL this year against the pass. Cincinnati has been a bust all year. They're not going to be able to run the ball, and because of this, Palmer might have a decent game yardage wise. He'll be sore in the morning. Pittsburgh 27-13
The Bye Week (-3) over Denver
Coming from the bottom of a bronco fan's heart, I hate you Josh McDaniels.
